Brasserie Julien Vive la France but kill the Frenchie 1422 3rd Avenue, New York NY

Went for dinner here tonight and boy did i feel out of place my waiter looked less than happy to see me. Why cause im wearing jeans. Even thou im a huge tipper and will more than likely order the most expensive thing on the menu.  Anyway that neither here nor there. They sit you down and even thou its clearly evening he gives me the brunch menu. Strike two. Ok so i ordered the pate and the mussels as the appetizer and boy were they finger licking good. it almost made up for the one little piece of bread they brung to my table. I know im heavy but let me pick my own diet. Heres the frenchie part the owner comes out and starts yelling at the poor less than intelligent waiters and waitresses, Look pierre i get you need to discipline your staff but dont do it on my time it takes away from the atmosphere, two spend more time getting that pending grade off your window from the health dept. rather than being another angry Frenchmen. By the way the fillet Mignon was slamming. I strongly recommend this restaurant although it wasn’t the greatest on atmosphere it was spot on with the food. Expensive but a treat none the less.

SoupMan of Astoria will leave you hungry and poor.

I went to SoupMan – Coldstone Creamery today to grab some soup. Its a little chilly and i figured that the soupman would warm me up. I had the Lobster bisk and my friend had the Corn chowder. Someone just mentioned to me i misspelled bisk but this is my blog and ill spell it any way i want. ANYWAY. For 26.00 dollars they gave me a side soup and a tiny piece of bread. The soup was ok nothing to write home about and my friends soup looked as if someone threw it up. For 26.00 dollars im expecting to leave full i left pissed. The only thing that saved the experience was that i noticed a big blond as she was a big bitch. Anyway back to the food. The portions of food are too small for the price. It was a 3.00 soup at best and bread is cheap you can afford to give me a bigger piece.
